After UAE, Bahrain will normalize ties with Israel| Donald Trump brokered the deal
US President Donald Trump took to his Twitter handle to announce that Bahrain will establish full diplomatic relations with Israel, following the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday.
In a joint statement with Bahrain and Israel, the President claimed the move is “A historic breakthrough to further peace in the Middle East.” The US President, whose office is due for a fresh election, said that “There’s no more powerful response to the hatred that spawned 9/11.” calling the anniversary of tragic 9/11 a fitting day for the announcement.
The announcement came after the UAE and Israel had decided to establish full diplomatic relations last month. It is still unclear whether any concessions were made by the US or Israel in exchange for an agreement of peace between the two nations.
This agreement is seen as a setback for Palestinian leaders who had urged the Arab nations to not recognize any diplomatic ties with Israel until they secure an independent state from the Zionist nation.
