Apple store online to go live in India from September 23| Check details here

Apple CEO Tim Cook took to his twitter handle to announce that Apple store online will go live in India from September 23.


"We can't wait to connect with our customers and expand support in India with the Apple store online on September 23," said Tim Cook on Twitter.

With the Apple store online, it will be the first time that the American technology giant will open a retail channel in India for its range of products.


"One thing we have learned is when we enter the market with Apple retail, all boats rise," said O'Brien, Senior Vice President of Retail & People at Apple.


At first, the Apple Online Store will only have products from Apple, but the tech giant plans to sell third party accessories in the future.


Payment Options on Apple online store:

Apple online store will reportedly have options for Cash on Delivery (COD) as well as other cashless payment options such as integrated UPI and Debit & Credit cards. There will also be an option for easy EMIs.


Contactless Delivery options:

Apple Online Store will reportedly allow for a contactless delivery option in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Apple has tied up with the Blue Dart as a logistic partner in the country, and deliveries will be done within 48-72 hours of the purchase online.


New Education store:

Apple Online store will also have a New Education Store, which will offer special discounts and pricing for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other Apple products.


Apple Care+

Apple Online store will also offer Apple care+ extended warranty packages on the products. The Apple care+ extended warranty will offer two years of technical support and accidental damage cover.


Customization option :

The much-awaited customization option will also make its way to India with Apple's Online Store. The buyers will be able to customize and choose the configuration while ordering a Mac online.


With the launch of the Apple Online Store in India, the tech giant will be ready for the upcoming festive season with offers to boost sales and its presence in India. According to Industry estimates, Apple's market share in India stands at about 2%, but the company is making headways in gaining the market share in the premium segment of smartphone sales.


Apple products being in the premium segment is having lots of sales from the offline market, but its online presence wasn't satisfactory; This is the reason why Apple seems to have launched its Online Store to boost online sales presence in India.


Apple products already have a cult following in the South-Asian country with new launches selling like hot cakes from the first day itself. The news of Apple Online Store launch in India on September 23 will surely please the fans of the tech giant.


Apple reportedly is going to promote the launch of its Online Retail channel in India before the launch, something the American tech giant has never done in any other country.
