India is on the way to become the world's worst-hit country due to COVID 19

The number of corona virus cases in India has risen with the biggest jump of 90,632 new cases in a single day. It took India just 13 days to surpass 40 lakh reported cases from 30 lakh which is faster than the world's worst-hit countries like the United States and Brazil.
With 41,13,811 total reported cases, India is just 9,189 cases behind Brazil, the second worst-hit country with 41,23,000 total reported cases. India is on the way to become the world's worst-hit country by COVID 19 at this rate.
At present, India is Asia's worst-hit country by COVID 19. According to the numbers released by the Health Ministry, within 24 hours, India reported 1,065 virus-related deaths taking total fatalities to 70,626.
Around 32 lakh patients have already recovered from the novel coronavirus in India with a recovery rate of 77.32%.
Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh are currently the states who reported the highest number of active cases in the last 24 hours.
Nonetheless, India needs to focus on more rapid testing and increase its capacity to assess the situation better instead of relying on the recovery rate.
