IPL 2020, KXIP vs RCB: KL Rahul's unstoppable century allow KXIP to destroy RCB by 97 runs
In the 6th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 97 runs at Dubai International Stadium. Aided by the Captain KL Rahul's fiery knock of 132 runs off 69 balls, KXIP had put a high target of 207 runs for the RCB to chase.

Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field first, allowing the opener and man of the match KL Rahul's match-winning innings to start. While RCB lost Mayank Agarwal, N Pooran, and Glen Maxwell in a few overs, the Skipper KL Rahul remained undefeated throughout the innings while scoring big runs. By the end of 20 years, KXIP had put a massive score of 207 runs for the Bangalore team to chase. Shubham Dube took 2 wickets for the RCB. Yuzvendra Chahal also took a wicket while being very economical in his spell. Interestingly, Virat Kohli dropped KL Rahul's catch twice which resulted in a century afterwards.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had a very bad start with opener Devdutt Padikkal losing his wicket after making 1 run, while Aaron Finch making only 20 runs in 21 balls. The next Batsmen in line, Josh Philippe made 0 runs while skipper Virat Kohli lost his wicket after making a single run. Mr. 360 AB de Villiers and Washington Sundar tried to save the RCB's boat from drowning but remained unsuccessful to do so. It didn't take long for the rest of the wickets of the RCB to fall. RCB lost all its wickets after making just 109 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi had a great day as they took 3 wickets each. Almost every bowler of the Punjab team played well while Mohammed Shami being the most economical bowler of the lot.
RCB didn't had any intent today to chase the high score as most of their batting lineup lost their wickets very quickly and their captain failing to impress in rescuing his team. Karnataka's pride KL Rahul while also being the former player of the RCB team destroyed the Bangalore team with his unstoppable innings. KL Rahul becomes the first player to score a century in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League IPL. KL Rahul also becomes the Indian player with a highest individual score in a IPL match.
