IPL 2020, MI vs DC (Final): MI wins the 13th edition of IPL as they beat DC by 5 wickets

In the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 5 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Skipper Rohit Sharma's brilliant knock of 68 runs off 51 balls and Ishan Kishan's undefeated knock of 33 runs off 19 balls allowed MI to successfully chase down the target given by DC tonight. Aided by Skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant's brilliant partnership, DC gave a decent target of 157 runs for the MI to chase tonight. Mumbai Indians have won the 13th edition of IPL, marking it as their 5th win in the tournament's history. Skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first. Delhi Capitals had a bad start with early wickets of openers Marcus Stoinis and Shikhar Dhawan tonight. While Stoinis lost his wicket for a duck, Dhawan made 15 runs off 13 balls for the DC tonight. Ajinkya Rahane also failed as he made just 2 runs for the DC tonight. Skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant played an impressive partnership for the DC tonight. While the skipper remained undefeated with his brilliant knock of 65 runs off 50 balls, Pant played a fiery innings of 56 runs off 38 balls for the DC tonight. DC was able to give a decent target of 157 runs for the MI to chase tonight. Trent Boult impressed everyone with his destructive bowling for MI tonight. Boult grabbed 3 huge wickets for the MI in his spell of 4 overs tonight. Nathan Coulter-Nile also remained successful in grabbing 2 wickets for the MI in his spell of 4 overs tonight. However, Jayant Yadav remained the most economical bowler in his spell of 4 overs for the MI tonight. Mumbai Indians had a good start aided by skipper Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock. While the skipper played a superb innings of 68 runs off 51 balls, de Kock made 20 runs off 12 balls for the MI tonight. After the fall of the duo, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan gave a last-minute push to the MI tonight. While Yadav made 19 runs off 20 balls, Kishan remained undefeated with his match-winning knock of 33 runs off 19 balls, allowing MI to successfully chase down DC's total in the 19th over itself. Anrich Nortje remained successful in grabbing 2 wickets for the DC in his spell of 2.4 overs tonight. However, Axar Patel remained the most economical bowler in his spell of 4 overs for the DC tonight.
