In the 40th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 8 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Aided by Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar's destructive partnership, SRH successfully chased down the target of 155 runs given by the RR tonight. Manish Pandey played an explosive innings of undefeated 83 runs off 47 balls. Jason Holder also shined for the SRH with him grabbing 3 wickets tonight. With tonight's win against Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad now stands at the 5th position in the points table of the 13th edition of IPL. Whereas, Rajasthan Royals are on the verge of losing their hopes of making into the playoffs of the IPL 2020.

Skipper David Warner won the toss and elected field first. Rajasthan Royals had an average start tonight with the sublime partnership between openers Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes. While Uthappa played an innings of 19 runs off 13 balls, Stokes made 30 runs off 32 balls tonight. Sanju Samson gave a decent push to the RR with him making 36 runs off 25 balls tonight. Joss Buttler failed to impress tonight as he lost his wicket after making 9 runs. While skipper Steven Smith made just 19 runs off 15 balls, Riyan Parag played a quick knock of 20 runs off 12 balls. With the help of Jofra Archer's quick cameo of undefeated 16 runs off 7 balls, RR gave a decent target of 155 runs for the SRH to chase tonight. Jason Holder grabbed eyeballs with his impressive spell of 4 overs in which he took 3 wickets tonight.



Sunrisers Hyderabad had a bad start with the early wicket of skipper David Warner and opener Jonny Bairstow tonight. While the skipper made just 4 runs, Bairstow lost his wicket after making just 10 runs off 7 balls. The next 2 batsmen in line, Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar destroyed the bowling line-up of RR tonight with their brilliant partnership. Pandey remained undefeated with his brilliant knock of 83 runs off 47 balls aided by 8 sixes and 4 fours. Shankar also remained undefeated with his steady innings of 52 runs off 51 balls tonight. Jofra Archer shined for the RR tonight with him grabbing 2 crucial wickets tonight while also being the most economical bowler in his spell of 4 overs.
