IPL 2020, SRH vs CSK: CSK breaks its losing streak as they beat SRH by 20 runs

In the 29th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 20 runs at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Aided by Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu's impressive partnership, CSK gave a decent target of 168 runs for the SRH to chase tonight. With the win tonight, CSK has now broken their losing streak in the 13th edition of IPL. Chennai Super Kings now stands at the 6th position in the points table of IPL 2020. Karn Sharma and DJ Bravo shined for the CSK with their aggressive bowling tonight. Kane Williamson impressed everyone tonight with his explosive innings of 57 runs off 39 balls for the SRH.

Skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. Sam Curran opened along with Faf du Plessis tonight for the Chennai Super Kings. While Curran played an average innings of 31 runs off 21 balls, the Faf du Plessis lost his wicket without making a single run tonight. Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu played an impressive partnership for the CSK. While Watson made 42 runs off 38 balls, the Rayudu played an innings of 41 runs off 34 balls. After the fall of the duo, MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja came to the crease to aid in providing a respectable score for the CSK. While Dhoni made 21 runs off 13 balls, the Jadeja made quick 25 runs off 10 balls, allowing the CSK to set a decent target of 168 runs for the SRH to chase. Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, and Thangarasu Natarajan shined for the SRH as they grabbed 2 wickets each tonight. However, Sandeep Sharma's spell of 4 overs remained the most economical one.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a rough start tonight with the early wicket of Skipper David Warner. Warner lost his wicket after making just 9 runs tonight. The other opener Jonny Bairstow played an average innings of 23 runs off 24 balls. Manish Pandey failed to impress tonight as he lost his wicket after making 4 runs for the SRH. After the quick fall of the wickets for the SRH, Kane Williamson came to the crease and turned the tide of the game for the team. Williamson played an explosive innings of 57 runs off 39 balls for the SRH tonight but failed to save the sinking ship of SRH. The rest of the batting line-up also collapsed for the SRH as they lost the match by 20 runs tonight. CSK bowlers dominated the batting line-up of SRH tonight. Karn Sharma and DJ Bravo remained the most successful bowlers for the CSK with them grabbing 2 wickets each. However, Shardul Thakur remained the most economical bowler of the CSK in his spell of overs tonight while also taking a wicket. With tonight's loss to CSK, the SRH now stands at the 5th position of the points table of IPL 2020.
CSK is now required to show consistent performance in the rest of the matches as well. MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja remained successful tonight in adding quick runs for the CSK in the death overs.
