IPL 2020, SRH vs RR: RR makes an epic comeback as they beat SRH by 5 wickets


In the 26th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 5 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. When fans were on the verge of giving up their hope for RR's win today, Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag saved the day with their wonderful partnership. Ben Stokes, who was playing his first match today in the 13th edition of IPL for the RR, remained unsuccessful to shine as he failed with the bat while also being unable to grab any wickets today. Skipper David Warner and Manish Pandey's average innings allowed the SRH to set a decent target of 159 runs for the RR to chase. SRH bowlers dominated and destroyed the top batting line-up of RR today but remained unsuccessful in stopping the might of Tewatia and Parag's bat. With today's win, Rajasthan Royals now stands at the 6th position in the points table of IPL 2020.

Skipper opened along with Jonny Bairstow and gave a good start to the SRH in today's match. While the Warner played a brilliant knock of 48 runs off 38 balls, the English batsman Bairstow lost his wicket in the early, making just 16 runs today. However, Manish Pandey played an impressive innings of 54 runs off 44 balls alongside the skipper. After the fall of the duo, Kane Williamson came to the crease and played explosively with his undefeated knock of 22 runs off 12 balls. Whereas, Priyam Garg lost his wicket in the death overs after making 15 runs for the SRH today. Despite an average innings by SRH's batsmen today, SRH could only set a low target of 159 runs for the RR to chase. Jofra Archer remained the most economical bowler in his spell of 4 overs while also taking a wicket today for the SRH.


Rajasthan Royals had a bad start today with the loss of opener Ben Stokes' wicket in the early of the match. Today also marked as the first match of Ben Stokes in the 13th edition of IPL for the RR. However, he lost his wicket after making just 5 runs for the RR today. Skipper Steven Smith, who came to the crease to support the other opener Joss Buttler also lost his wicket after making just 5 runs today. After Skipper's wicket, Youngster Sanju Samson came to support the Buttler. While Samson played an average innings of 26 runs off 25 balls, the Buttler lost his wicket after making just 16 runs off 13 balls. After a sudden collapse in the top batting line-up of RR, Robin Uthappa came to the crease to save the sinking ship of RR but failed as he lost his wicket after making 18 runs off 15 balls. Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag saved the day for the SRH with their match-winning comeback innings. While Tewatia shined with his knock of 45 runs off 28 balls, Parag played explosively with his brilliant knock of 42 runs off 26 balls. Rashid Khan and Khaleel Ahmed shined for the SRH with them grabbing 2 wickets each today.
