MDH owner 'Mahashay' Dharampal Gulati passes away at 98


MDH owner, Mahashay Dharampal Gulati passed away at 97 on Thursday morning. Dharampal was born in 1923 in Sialkot, Pakistan. Being a school drop out, Gulati joined his father's spice business. After the partition, he moved to India and opened up a store in Delhi's Karol Bagh.

MDH owner, 'Mahashay' Dharampal Gulati passed away at 98 on Thursday morning. Dharampal was born in 1923 in Sialkot, Pakistan. Being a school drop out, Gulati joined his father's spice business. After the partition, he moved to India and opened up a store in Delhi's Karol Bagh. According to reports, he suffered a cardiac arrest in the early morning. In 2019, the Government of India honoured him with India's third highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan. Reportedly, Dharampal Gulati donates nearly 90% of his salary to charity.
