Pakistani terrorist Mohd Asraf, arrested from Delhi's Laxmi Nagar, has been remanded to 14-day police custody by the Patiala House court.   According to DCP Special Cell Pramod Kushwaha, Mohd Asraf was arrested by Delhi Police Special cell yesterday from Laxmi Nagar's Ramesh Park. He has been in India for more than a decade using Indian identity. The initial probe revealed his involvement as a sleeper cell, orchestrating subversive activities.

According to DCP Special Cell Pramod Kushwaha, Mohd Asraf was arrested by Delhi Police Special cell yesterday from Laxmi Nagar's Ramesh Park. He has been in India for more than a decade using Indian identity. The initial probe revealed his involvement as a sleeper cell, orchestrating subversive activities. He got several fake ids made, including one under the name of Ahmed Noori. He had acquired an Indian passport too and travelled to Thailand and Saudi Arabia. He married an Indian woman in Ghaziabad for documents. He had also acquired an Indian id in Bihar.

He has been trained by Pakistan ISI and was sent through the Siliguri border via Bangladesh. One Naseer from Pakistan had tasked him (to carry out terror operations). In the last, he was also disguising as 'Peer Maulana' in and around Delhi, added DCP, Special Cell.
