PUBG Corporation to take over PUBG mobile in India from Tencent
After the recent ban on 118 Chinese apps in India due to security concerns, South Korean origin PUBG Corporation has decided to take over PUBG mobile and its publishing responsibilities in India.
PUBG Corporation is the subsidiary of South Korean company Krafton Games Union.
After the recent ban on PUBG, Shenzen based Tencent games had clarified to engage with Indian authorities to uplift the ban.
“Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country,” the company said in the statement on its website. “As the company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, it is committed to doing so by sustaining a localized and healthy gameplay environment for its fans.”
PUBG mobile has a huge following in India and the hardcore players of the popular game were concerned about its future due to the recent ban.
This news may come as a relief since PUBG Corporation is a South Korean origin company and there has been no ban on the PC Variant of the popular game.
